Murdered to Death is a farcical comedy that parodies British murder mysteries. A wide variety of characters are invited to dinner by the lady of the house, one of whom quickly murders her. The neighborhood busybody sets about solving the murder, while the idiot inspector succeeds only in shooting his own constable, twice. In the end the part is in shambles, and the murderer gets away.
The wonderfully detailed unit set depicts the drawing room of a large house, with doorways to the front entryway and kitchen. The lighting serves to tell the time of day, as the show begins in the evening and spans the night into the following morning. Added comedic moments in between scenes were added by the director to clear the dead bodies off the stage, and also show the passage of time.
